As I play catch up on blogging family sessions from months past, a big smile landed on my face when I remembered this awesome session from the fall. This wee family was such a treat to work with. I’ll never forget how sweet and playful little E was. It’s not every day you get a tot this age who actually loves to have fun and engage with the camera. Their wee dog was a welcome, comical and very well behaved addition to the session as well! As a dog person, I always look forward to clients bringing their dogs along. There are many fantastic locations in the city that are both great for photos and animal friendly!
Thanks so much to the M family for choosing me to capture your memories! I hope we have the chance to do this again!

This was such a fun session with the R Family! Mom (Melanie) contacted me to do a few images for them prior to the launch of her new lifestyle blog, VocationElle. She had hoped for a few headshot type images as well as a few interactive lifestyle family shots which would include her husband and adorable daughter V. These guys were so fun and easy to work with and getting the shots we needed was a breeze! Aren’t they a gorgeous family? And who couldn’t love baby V’s sweet smile?! Thanks so much to the R family for inviting me into your home to capture these fun images.
If you are an Ottawa area blogger, student or entrepreneur, I’d love to work with you. My approach to lifestyle headshots and family photography is very laid back with an emphasis on having fun and capturing you and/or your family as you are.

I’m a huge dog lover and that’s no secret to anyone who knows me (I have three!). Needless to say, I’m generally open to dogs at any session as long as they can follow basic commands, can sit for a photo (even just for a moment), and if they are allowed at the location we’ve chosen. Because the M family had recently adopted their new pup Oscar and wanted for him to be a part of the shoot, we definitely wanted to choose a spot where he’d be allowed. So we trekked down to the Arboretum with puppy in tow for some family photos!
I think the images paint a pretty clear picture of how well-loved this pooch is by his adoring mom and siblings! He stole the show and kept all of us laughing with his goofy antics and slobbery kisses. It was a really fun time! I’m so happy that the M family thought to document this time for their family and I’m thrilled that they love their family photos!
If you are interested in having your own set of family photos (with or without your pup!) with Ottawa Family Photographer, Danielle Lynn Photography, I’d love to hear from you! I have several upcoming evening and weekend session dates available this spring, summer and fall and I’d love to meet your family this year!
