This summer I wanted to offer up something a little different for anyone interested in having a few fun, authentic photos taken of their kiddos. School photos can be lovely, but wouldn’t it be nice to see your child or teen’s REAL, sweet, natural smile looking back at you? I thought so!
These sessions are being offered at the special rate of $150. You receive a 20 minute kids-only session, approximately 20 proofs to choose from and your choice of TWO digital files for personal printing. Any additional products and digital files you may wish to purchase are available at a 10% discount! This session can be for a single child or a sibling group of two. Additional children can be added to the session for $25 each.
This promotion will be available for the months of June, July and August according to my availability on select weekday evenings only. Locations within Ottawa will vary and space is limited so if you are interested in a specific evening, contact me early to avoid disappointment! firstname.lastname@example.org
– This promotion cannot be combined with any other discount, special or offer.
– Sessions will take place in the city of Ottawa only.
Can’t wait to meet some new kiddos this summer! 🙂
For all of the years I’ve lived and worked in Ottawa as a family photographer, I’d always dreamed that the stars would align and I would end up with a family session at Ottawa’s Ornamental Gardens when apple blossom trees were in full, perfect bloom. With such a short window of opportunity for capturing these, it’s easy to be a few days too early or a few days too late and miss them altogether. Then there’s always a chance that the family I happen to be working with has another location in mind. Whatever the reason, I’ve always ended up missing them at their peak. This time though…luck was definitely on my side!
When this lovely crew contacted me to capture them in celebration of Grandma and Grandpa’s 50th Anniversary, I was so honoured and excited. I often photograph extended families here in Ottawa, but it’s not every day you get to be part of such an incredible milestone! The fact that the trees were in full bloom and the love was abundant only added to the beauty of this otherwise overcast, slightly rainy day. About half way through the session it began to rain. But we pushed through regardless and it was well worth it! Both the family and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the resulting images.
If you are interested in having your family captured by Ottawa’s Danielle Lynn Photography, please contact me today! I’d love to help tell your family’s unique story through a series of fun photos that you can enjoy and share for years to come!
This Halloween my kiddos have two of (what I think) are their best costumes yet!! A Bumblebee Princess and a Motorcycle Rider! Both such random choices really. But when setting out to look for costumes this year neither us or the kids went with anything specific in mind for them. I think it was MUCH more fun this way because in the end, both kids LOVE what they are dressing up as, and neither were disappointed that they didn’t find a specific costume. I fully realize we won’t have it this easy in the coming years though. 😉 I’m thankful that for now, just the idea of dressing up as anything is good enough!
Halloween seems to happen at the perfect time of year because as my busy season is winding down a bit, it gives me a bit more time to spend focusing on some of the fun things we do with the kids and as a family. This year I actually purchased Halloween decorations for the front of our house. ALERT THE MEDIA! I never do this. Call me a stick-in-the-mud but I’ve never been one for seasonal decorations of any kind (mostly because I can’t be bothered taking them down! HA!). But this year in addition to our normal pumpkin carving, I also bought a few other things to put up at the kid’s request…and I’m glad I did. Turns out, being in the spirit isn’t nearly as bad as I thought. 😉
Hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween!! I’d loooove if you’d head on over to the Danielle Lynn Photography Facebook page and tell me what YOU and/or your kids are dressing up as this year!!
Oh and in case you are wondering…the faces he is making in these photos are his tough Biker faces! When I asked him to show me what a tough guy face looks like, this was what I got. And I couldn’t stop laughing so I just HAD to post them. 🙂
P.S. When I took these photos we were on our way to the kids Halloween party at the Museum of Civilization and were in a bit of a hurry. This means I unfortunately didn’t get a photo of the two kids together! If I’m able to get one some time today I’ll be sure to come back and update this post!
P.P.S. This past weekend we FINALLY had the opportunity to take a few family photos! Hoping to share them all soon!
