Finding the Beauty ~ Ottawa Photographers

After my first Junking expedition with my friend Christine back in April of this year, I’ve had a hankering to go back in the worst way. Not necessarily to buy anything. But to just be there. Amongst the beautiful treasures, snapping away, being totally in my element. The inspiration that places like these hold for me isn’t easily put into words. I could spend hours upon hours just imagining, just creating, just reveling in the beauty. So this past weekend I brought my Mother in Law with me and hit up the junk yards once again. The best part? I saw things in a completely different way than I did before. I’m not sure it was that any of the junk itself had changed. But as I grow as a person and as a photographer, I’m learning to see things differently. I’m learning to see beauty in new ways.

Next time I won’t wait so long to go back. I will make the time in my schedule to do it for me. 🙂

Have you ever come across a trough sink in your junking? Like something you’d find in an old school bathroom? A long, deep sink with several faucets on the wall above it? I’d loooove to have one for my kids’ bathroom. You’ll have to let me know where this place is so I can visit or call and see if they have one.
