Ottawa Family Photography :: A Fun Fantastic Family Session

This year I’ve been getting a TON of inquiries for family sessions. More so than any previous year…and this makes me HAPPY! I love, love, love photographing kids, families and the interaction between everyone. Sometimes it’s larger extended families, some times it’s a husband and wife and their fur babies. But in every case, big or small, human or animal, what I really love to try and capture is the connection between everyone. Life is too short not to have documentation of the times in the lives of the ones you love ๐Ÿ™‚

This lovely family came to me from a little bit of everywhere. Some from Mississauga, some from the US and some from here in Ottawa. We met up at the ornamental gardens on this bright and sunny summer day in hopes of getting a few shots of everyone together, some of the kids and some of Grandma and Grandpa (who just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary!). Little Mackenzie stole the show as most 5 year olds tend to do. She took a bit of time to warm up but once she did there was no stopping those giant smiles and goofy laughs. I’m so happy she decided to go along with me. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Big, big thanks to these wonderful folks for allowing me the pleasure of spending the morning! I hope you all enjoyed the remainder of your trip to the Capital!

Ottawa Family Photographer :: The Shea Family

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph the gorgeous Shea family at the Ornamental Gardens here in Ottawa. With two young kids, I knew it would be an energetic session and they did not let me down! The handsome Mr Levi with his bright red hair and all-boy energy and the darling, smiley Miss Kiera were a TOTAL treat to photograph. Truly. In fact some of the busiest, most hectic sessions end up resulting in some of my own personal favorite images. Maybe it’s the challenge that makes it so rewarding. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Whatever the case, I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family and am thrilled with the resulting images. Little Keira was FULL of some of the biggest baby smiles I’ve ever seen and although he had his own agenda, I also managed to catch a few from Levi as well. At the end of the day, I couldn’t have asked for better!

Thanks so much Shea family for choosing me to capture these images of your family! I sincerely hope I have this opportunity again and that you enjoy these hilarious memories with your kiddos for years to come!

Ottawa Family Photography :: The Flores Family…again!

My goal is to always give my clients a fantastic experience and, of course, amazing family photos. So when clients come back time after time, I always feel so grateful. I know how daunting it can be to find a professional family photographer who you trust to capture important memories. So every time I have a family come back, I do a little happy dance. ๐Ÿ™‚

I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family last summer, and then once again I was contacted during winter to photograph their newborn baby boy. Now this summer with grandparents visiting, they wanted more! And I was thrilled to spend some time with them at the Ornamental Gardens capturing some sweet family moments. I thought it was so lovely that Grandma and Grandpa could be present for the photos this time as well. The relationships between grandparents and grandchildren are always so special and it’s not every day that I have the opportunity to document it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you once again to the wonderful Flores family for trusting me to photograph your beautiful family. I wish you all the best with your upcoming move and I sincerely hope that I have the opportunity to photograph you all again in the not too distant future!

(We had quite a laugh at this pose above. It was the only way to keep Ana from getting upset towards the end of the session. Whatever works, right? ๐Ÿ˜‰ )
