Coolest Family Ever! ~ Ottawa Family Photographer

This is my friend Natalie’s Family. Nat happens to be the oh-so-talented photographer behind NDS Photography as well as the 3rd Ottawa photographer’s family that I’ve had the opportunity to shoot in 2011! Nat and I first met in person at last year’s Shopping and Sweets event where she came to say hello and at the same time purchased a gift certificate. I have been so grateful for Nat’s friendship ever since. Without getting all gushy on y’all, I do want to say that Nat has definitely been one of the greatest people I’ve met in a long time. She’s just one of those few people who I feel an instant connection with – and for me, it doesn’t happen very often. You couldn’t meet a more honest, kind hearted, supportive person. Thank you Nat for being such a great friend to me, and I mean that with all of my heart. You know I’ve got your back anytime, anywhere girl. 😉

*ahem* Okay, where was I? YES! Aren’t they the COOLEST family ever?! Nat put a lot of time and effort into styling this session and coordinating everyone, right down to the sun glasses. This location is one that Nat and I have been talking about shooting at for a while now, so when she mentioned that she wanted this to be the location we used for her family session I jumped at the opportunity. Our hope is to do a few more themed shoots at this location at some point in the future so watch out for that. 😉

A HUGE thank you to Tom, Nat, Xan, Gracie and Cole for choosing me to document your amazingly gorgeous and photogenic family! I had so much fun with you guys! xoxo

Sweet B ~ Ottawa Children’s Photographer

Isn’t she precious?! B’s Grandma contacted me a few weeks back about doing a session with her 20 month old Granddaughter and of course I was very excited to meet and photograph her! This is one of my favorite ages to photograph kids – still so baby-ish and easy to make giggle, and at the same time have a pretty good understanding of what’s happening around them. The first thing I noticed about B when we met last Friday was those adorable little cheeks. And if you know me, you know that I’m a total sucker for a chubby cheeked baby! B was fantastic for our session too. Mom had warned me that she might be a bit shy for the camera but that wasn’t really the case at all! She managed to turn on the smiles with the help of some funny noises, peek-a-boo games and Mommy standing behind me making silly faces!

Thank you so much to the lovely and adorable B for sharing your beautiful smile with me for this session! And thank you so much to B’s family for choosing Danielle Lynn Photography to capture these memories for you. I’m truly grateful for the wonderful families I am fortunate enough to meet because of my work as a Professional Children’s Photographer here in Ottawa!

Ottawa Family Photographers ~ The Lacroix Family

Last Thursday evening I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Lacroix Family at the Arboretum and Experimental farm here in Ottawa! We couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather either. The sun had been shining all day and there was a beautiful breeze that helped keep us cool. I couldn’t have been happier since most of my sessions so far this Spring have been rained out or rescheduled due to weather!

These guys were a lot of fun and were so easy going that it really made them a pleasure to work with. Actually, in our initial emails Irene-Ann had mentioned that she wanted something nice and natural, but nothing too ordinary. So…being the creative gal that I am, I thought it would be fun to bring along one of the antique buckets I had purchased on my junking expedition earlier this Spring, fill it with some beautiful red apples and see how we could work them in as a prop with the girls! And I think it all came together very nicely! The girls ended up having a snack for our walk, and the apples did make fun, colourful little props which complimented the colours in their outfits and the natural setting perfectly!

Thank you so much for the the fun time Lacroix family! I’m confident you’ll love your new family photos for years to come. 🙂
