This cheerful bunch planned this session as gift to Grandma! Kind of a great idea, isn’t it? What Grandmother wouldn’t love a set of beautiful images of her grand kids – one of her greatest sources of joy! Grandma was just beaming with pride and adoration through most of this session, on and off camera. I’m certain these family photos will be something that all members of the family will treasure for years to come.
As an Ottawa area family photographer I consider myself so fortunate to interact with so many beautiful and and unique new families so regularly. If you are thinking about booking your own family photos as a gift to yourself or for a loved one, I’d love to hear from you! Together we can plan a photo session that will meet your needs and be laid back and enjoyable for all involved.
I don’t mean to brag or anything, but I DO have the most gorgeous friends and clients! Wait till you see this!
Not too long ago I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Genevieve (who you may recognize is not a stranger in front of my camera). Gen wanted this portrait session to mark her 35th birthday milestone and I thought it was a fabulous idea. I mean, seriously though, would you even guess she’s 35? Gen brought it. Brought. It. The one thing she very specifically indicated about this session is that she didn’t want to necessarily look like a mom of two. And I’m sure you’ll agree….we totally succeeded!
As with any time I’ve photographed you Gen, thank you. There aren’t too many friends I’d trudge through tall grass for, walk through river rocks for or sustain a mildly serious wasp sting for! 😉 It was all worth it though and I sincerely hope that you and your family enjoy these photos for years to come 🙂

When Robert and Amelie contacted me several weeks back to book a couples session, I loved their idea. These two, who currently live miles apart, have recently graduated high school and rather than the traditional grad photos, they wanted something unique, fun and less formal. So together we decided on Petrie Island in Orleans as our session location and captured this time together with them before so many of the big changes happen in their lives.
All the best in your future endeavours Robert and Amelie!
