Ottawa Family Photographer :: Six Lovely Sisters

From the moment they all piled out of Marlene’s big black Suburban at Petrie Island, I had a feeling these ladies would be trouble. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Six…yes SIX lovely sisters along with their Mom booked these family photos in celebration of Marlene (who, correct me if I’m wrong is sister number five) and her 50th birthday that happened earlier this month. What I enjoyed most about this session was that these sisters, despite their geographical distance, all seemed so close. Such beautiful relationships they clearly shared. Their laughter was contagious and so were their smiles! What I also loved about this session were the colours they chose and how it made everyone different, but still perfectly coordinated! Kudos to these beautiful ladies for choosing summery colours that photographed so wonderfully! ๐Ÿ™‚

A big, big thanks to Marlene, Eileen, Marjorie, Sandra, Marilynn, Diana and Lora-lee for choosing me to document this special visit for you! I hope these memories are ones your family will treasure for years to come!

Ottawa Family Photographer :: Three Lovely Ladies!

Tina was one of the first people my husband and I met when we moved to Ottawa about 4 years ago. Like us, Tina had been wading through the mountains of paperwork to complete the adoption of her daughter from Ethiopia. During this time we attended many a gathering with lots of other families and after what seemed like an eternity, both of our families were fortunate enough to welcome both of our daughters home. In fact, my family was at the airport when Tina landed in Canada with her sweet daughter Freesia! It seems like it’s been forever!

Now more than two years since Freesia’s arrival, I am THRILLED to have the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family of three – Tina, Annika and Freesia. Some things I loved about this session:

~ Annika’s slightly apprehensive personality.Typical for her age I’m sure, but I enjoyed the challenge of coaxing those naturally beautiful smiles out of her.

~ Freesia’s uncontrollable need to giggle. Her happiness absolutely bursts out of her.

~ Tina’s beautiful, tender connection to her girls. I love how they can laugh together in such a natural way. Moms like this are incredibly special.

~ Annika and Freesia’s hilarious and fun relationship. They are like two peas in a pod. Always laughing, always smiling, always picking on one another. It made my job so easy. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much ladies for choosing me to photograph this wonderful day with the three of you! I had seriously had so much fun and I am so pleased with the way these images show your personalities! So much so that I may have blogged pretty much the entire session! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ottawa Family Photographer ~ Courtney and Lindsey

These two gorgeous sisters were SO much fun. Right from the time we met I knew they’d be easy going – and of course…that makes my job SO easy. ๐Ÿ™‚ Courtney and Lindsey were actually scheduled to be part of my Graffiti Wall Mini Sessions that I had held earlier in the spring. Unfortunately, our schedules could never connect until this past weekend when they contacted me about finally having the opportunity to come to Ottawa. So I was happy to finally meet them. They drove 2 hours to come and see me! Oh…and where is the graffiti wall in these photos you ask? It was being re-pained. So they were more than happy to enjoy themselves an ‘Ornamental Gardens Mini Session’ instead since we were practically in the neighborhood anyway. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Speaking of Mini sessions I am toying with the idea of offering them again in the Fall if there’s enough interest. Possibly at the Graffiti wall since there was so much interest last time, but more likely at the Arboretum in time for Fall. If you think you may be interested in a mini session with photos in time for the holidays, please let me know by contacting me, or leaving me a little note on my Facebook fan page so that I can determine whether I’ll have enough people interested to go forward with it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for the opportunity to hang out with both of you Lindsay and Courtney!! Enjoy your images!!
