A really fun challenge for me when I am thinking about locations to use for client headshot sessions is to select a place that wouldn’t ordinarily be seen as suitable (or even beautiful) and do my best to find the beauty in it. In the case of Sarah’s session, I suggested we use the area around her office building as well as the teensy little bit of park area across the street. This is an area of the city I’ve driven by about a million times and never would I have thought it beautiful any other time. But with the right model, the right light and a bit of thinking outside the box, we made it work beautifully!
Thanks so much for the wonderful session Sarah! I’m so pleased that you are thrilled with your images. I’m glad they convey exactly what you had hoped!
If you live in Ottawa and are interested in booking a professional head shot session this year, I’d love to hear from you! Let’s work together to create a one-of-a-kind set of images that tell the story you want to tell the world about yourself!
One of the best things about being a Professional Photographer in Ottawa is the cool people I get to meet. This is especially true when shooting professional headshots for clients. Everyone comes to me with a unique story, exciting future plans or an interesting background. Evan was no exception!
My session with Evan happened because a good friend of mine from elementary school, who happens to be his significant other, suggested they hire me on an upcoming visit to Ottawa! So they did! All the way from Peterborough, Ontario. How great is that?! Evan is a voiceover actor, a Twitter lover and an all around nice guy. I had an awesome time updating his professional headshots and catching up with my elementary school BFF, Alison!
If you are interested in booking your very own headshot session with Danielle Lynn Photography, please contact me today! I am currently booking sessions for the remainder of the summer and fall 2014 and would love to work with you!
And of course, I couldn’t resist snapping a couple of Evan and Alison together! 🙂
Another fantastic and fun professional headshot session! This time I met with Alex down in the Byward Market. He needed to update his professional images with something a little more modern and relaxed so we chose a location with lots of variety and personality. We walked the downtown streets near the Parliament, chuckled at tourists taking photos of the Ottawa’s famous spring tulips with their giant iPads in Major’s Hill Park and snapped some of our own awesome images for Alex to use for his online presence. We came away with some great results and upon being presented his proofs, he agrees! Alex is super happy and impressed with how well they represent him! 🙂
Thanks so much Alex for choosing Danielle Lynn Photography to update your headshots in the Byward Market! As always, I had so much fun and am thrilled that you love these images as much as I do!
